Lua Barbosa possui uma prática fluída em mídias, atualmente focando em cerâmica, artes digitais, pintura e foto/vídeo- performance. Em 2017, se formou na graduação de Pintura da Escola de Belas Artes - UFRJ. Em 2022, se mudou para Tallahassee para cursar o MFA (Mestrado em Belas Artes) na Florida State University, onde atualmente é aluna da pós-graduação. Seu trabalho fez parte de mais de quinze exposições entre Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo e Flórida. Entre seus interesses de pesquisa estão: O Antropoceno, inter e intra-espécies, aves domesticadas e selvagens, crítica da branquitude e migração.​

 Lua Barbosa is a Brazilian visual artist with a medium-fluid practice, currently focusing on ceramic, digital art, painting,  and photo/video- performance. In 2017, she received her bachelor’s degree in Painting at the Fine Arts School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. In 2022, she moved to Tallahassee to enroll at  Florida State University (EBA-UFRJ), where she is currently an  MFA candidate. Lua’s work was part of more than fifteen art shows in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Florida. Among current research interests are the Anthropocene, inter and intraspecies relationships, domesticated and wild birds, otherness, whiteness critique, and migration.
