This monument portrays a corpse that was ignored multiple times at the entrance of my studio building, by me and by others. They weren’t moved until one day they were replaced by absence. The time not spent with the mourning is used to make this piece. This work comes with the idea of monumentalizing a small bird in its own scale and highlights the dismissal of small deaths that pile up around us. Its scale and its material - recycled aluminum - antagonize the assumed requirements of a noble monument.
